CLEMENTS 308di
Andrew Marshall, Audio Ideas, February 1996

"...very extended bass in this category...impedance and electrical phase curves among the smoothest I've ever seen, rivaling those for the $7,000 Veritas v2.8...a totally benign load for an amplifier of between 5 and 6 ohms...is quite linear in the 15-20 degree window, better than +/- 3db over most of the range...a very efficient speaker...will easily be driven by small amplifiers...very accurate and spatially revealing...with a well developed ambient glow around both solo and choral voices...clean, extended bass...the sound of strings...was very natural right down to the double bases...I like the 308's imaging...its sense of depth unusually good for an under $1,000 speaker...the key is its coherence achieved in the crossover design...can be driven by virtually any amplifier of any power."

CLEMENTS 107di
Rich Warren, The Chicago Tribune, January 1996

"For those whose ears are bigger than their pockets, consider the CLEMENTS Audio 107di. When Phil Clements, speaker designer of the company that bears his name, asked me to listen to and guess the price of the 107di, I erred almost $200 to high. The $370 per pair 107di, a modest sized bookshelf speaker, uses parts of surprisingly high quality in such an inexpensive speaker.

Clements stresses a stable impedance for these speakers which means they'll sound good even with a budget-priced receiver. Their appealing sound makes the 107di the satisfying choice for a starter stereo system, a second room system, or even an under $1,000 home theater system."
